The holiday house Barmel is situated on little hill, one kilometer from the center of the Commune of Barban. There, on their estate the Blažina family is, as a supplementary activity, dealing with agriculture, mainly viticulture. The surroundings of the Barmel house are traditional Istrian cultures – figs, olives, wine yards and other bushes and flowers. Garden areas are adjacent to the house. The family produce their own wine – sorts typical for Istria (malmsey, terrano and muscadine), grape brandy, vegetable and fruit, and in the neighborhood, high quality honey is produced. Sheep, cow, gout milk and cheese can be supplied by nearby estates.
The house is surrounded by a large garden with a separate entrance. There are enough park places, and large green areas are good to keep and walk with your pets (dogs).
There is also a grill in the garden and a pavilion where the guests can stay during the day and prepare their meals in the shade, in a natural environment. A small fountain makes the scenery more beautiful.

Thanks to its tameness, the surroundings offer ideal conditions for long walks and cross running. On the slightly steep hillsides towards the river Raša valley, in luxuriant vegetation you can pick the fruits given by the nature (wild asparagi, mushrooms, officinal herbs and sim.). Those more tenacious can “climb mountains” on the surrounding hills and rocks, and take a recreation ride by bike.
The sea in 9 kilometers away – the Raša bay – where there are many natural beaches. Beaches in Duga uvala and Rabac, being about 20 kilometers away, are recommended for swimming. Major Istrian tourist resorts and ancient hamlets in the backcountry, offer ideal possibilities for one-day excursions.
